Pick: What albums would you buy in 1968?

Records were not cheap back then. So make it count!

We like to think things were cheaper back in the old days. When it comes to music, though, albums were more expensive than you think.

In 1968, a new LP could go for about $4. Adjusting for inflation, that's almost $30 today. When the Beatles dropped their "White Album" around Thanksgiving of that year, it cost around ten bucks — the equivalent of $70 today. Holy Ringo! Hopefully, you thanked your parents for buying it.

So, let's pretend it's 1968. Each month, you save up your allowance to purchase ONE record. We gathered notable released throughout the calendar year. Which one are you purchasing? See how your picks compare to the rest!
