Soon you can stamp your mail with friendly faces from Sesame Street

On Sesame Street, many kids watched Big Bird and Snuffleupagus teach the valuable lesson of how to mail a letter, and now, the United States Postal Service has announced it will pay thanks and honor the children's educational show with a line of stamps all of its own.

From the press release: "The Postal Service honors Sesame Street as one of the most influential and beloved children’s television shows. For the last 50 years, it has provided educational programming and entertainment for generations of children throughout the country and around the world."

Among the characters featured in the new designs are Big Bird, Elmo, Grover, Bert and Ernie, the Count and Cookie Monster, as well as new characters to make today's kids smile like Abby Cadabby. USPS has yet to post when these stamps will be released, but you can bet they'll be brightening mailboxes later this year.
