Do you think this person's great-grandfather looks like Johnny Depp?
Have you ever looked through photographs of your grandparents or great-grandparents from when they were younger and wondered what they would look like in today's society? Better yet, did any of them kind of resemble someone you know today?
Well, one Reddit user can answer both those questions. They recently discovered a photograph of their great-grandfather, and he had an unusual resemblance to one of Hollywood's leading actors — Johnny Depp.
The resemblance is uncanny. Just look at the sunken eyes and the cheek bone structure. It also doesn't hurt that Depp has sported facial hair like the man in this picture on more than one occassion.
If you can't believe the resemblance, there may be another explanation. Johnny Depp is one of the most successful character actors in Hollywood. Is it possible he went back in time as this person's great grandfather to prepare for a certain role? Perhaps to study up on Johnny Dillinger for his 2009 film Public Enemies?
No word yet from the actor, but the original poster on Reddit might want to check his ancestry. Judging from the photograph, he might be Depp's long lost cousin.
