Wiffle Ball Story
It’s one of America’s quintessential recreational sports: Wiffle Ball. The hollow plastic ball with eight oblong holes on one side was patented on February 18, 1954. David N. Mullany and William F. Blamey, Jr., were able to trademark the name by spelling it W-I-F-F-L-E instead of W-H-I-F-F-L-E. The signature yellow bat was introduced several years later.
