War Time (Daylight Saving Time)

It was one of many attempts the U.S. took at changing the clock. But, finally Congress voted to move to daylight saving time on February 9, 1942. President Roosevelt called it “War Time.” The thought behind the move was to save energy for the war effort. We can blame Benjamin Franklin for this as he was the first to propose resetting the clock to conserve energy.
