Wilt Chamberlain's Untouchable Record
NBA center Wilt Chamberlain was a dominant force on the court, out-rebounding and out-scoring opponents on a regular basis. One of his record-breaking achievements happened on March 2, 1962. His team, the Philadelphia Warriors, were playing against the New York Knicks at Hershey Sports Arena in Hershey, Pennsylvania. By halftime Chamberlain had 41 points and another 28 by the end of the third. With history on the line and 46 seconds left in the game, Chamberlain scored his 100th point, a single-game achievement that remains untouched in the U.S.
