The Rise of the Haight

It was the center of a fresh music scene that brought the rise of a new sound, and cultivated a utopian community.  San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury neighborhood became the epicenter of the hippie generation. Disillusioned and curious youth who wanted to explore a new way of living, different from their own upbringings, were encouraged to dive into this emerging counter-culture.
