Roosevelt Bans Planes Over White House

Annoyed and kept awake by the sound of airplanes flying above his home, President Roosevelt decided it was time for executive action. On February 22, 1935, Roosevelt banned aircraft from flying above the White House. It’s a statue that’s still in effect today.
