Lava Lamp

You know you love it. But, how did it come to be? It’s a novelty item from the 1960s that became a signature of the era: the lava lamp. This symbol of the psychedelic counterculture was the creation of Edward Craven Walker. Originally called the "astro lamp," the word “astro” was changed to “lava” when it came to America circa 1967.
