General Electric Theater

General Electric Theater premiered on Sunday, February 1, 1953. The television show was an anthology series that presented everything from comedy and romance to drama. It was also a huge self-promotion for the General Electric company, which got an hour every week of its name in lights. The popular Sunday night staple had only one host, Ronald Reagan, who joined the show in 1954.
