DeLorean Motor Company
Etched into pop culture history by Hollywood as a "time machine," the DeLorean was a sports car unlike any other. The brushed stainless-steel body with two gull-wing doors was created by John DeLorean. The first DeLorean DMC-12 rolled off the assembly line on January 21, 1981. Only 9,000 DeLoreans were made before the company went bankrupt in 1982.
