Bugs Bunny made his first appearance alongside Elmer Fudd in the cartoon short “A Wild Hare.” Since that debut on July 27, 1940, Bugs became not just another cartoon character but a part of American History. Bugs earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and became the first cartoon character to get his own postage stamp.
